Soft, firm, hydrated skin, in an oil light enough to wear all day.

What it is
A lightweight serum oil for the face, built on the same nutrient-dense algae and the same five great skin oils as our Blue Algae Serum Balm, finished with Moroccan tansy, frankincense and myrrh. Where the balm is the rich overnight treatment, this is its daytime companion: three or four drops pressed into the skin absorb in about a minute, hydrate deeply and support firmer, calmer, more even skin, with no film under makeup. Use it in the morning, at night, or both.

Who it's for
Dry, dull or stressed skin that wants Blue Algae nourishment in a lighter texture. If you love the Serum Balm at night and want the same benefits by day, or if you simply prefer an oil to a balm, this is the one. Skin that leans oily or breaks out easily does better with the Watermelon Seed Facial Serum.

Why this works, concern by concern
Light does not mean less. Each oil was chosen for how fast it absorbs and what it leaves behind, and the algae brings the actives.

To Hydrate Without Weight

The problem: oils that hydrate tend to sit on the skin, and oils that absorb tend to do little.

  • Marula Oil. Rich in oleic acid and antioxidants, it absorbs remarkably fast for such a nourishing oil and strengthens the skin's moisture barrier so hydration lasts through the day.
  • Kukui Oil. Hawaii's gift to skin that takes sun, salt and wind. Its fatty acids absorb easily and leave a weightless protective veil, never a greasy film.
  • Baobab Seed Oil. Vitamins A, D, E and F from Africa's "Tree of Life" revitalize tired, depleted skin and visibly soften fine lines.
To Firm

The problem: skin loses its bounce as collagen weakens, and it shows along the jaw and neck first.

  • Algae. The headliner, and the same algae as the Serum Balm. One of the most nutrient-dense organisms on earth, it packs amino acids, vitamins and minerals into every cell and supports cellular renewal, lasting hydration and defense against the daily oxidative stress that ages skin before its time.
  • Kakadu Plum Oil. From the Australian superfruit famous as one of nature's richest sources of vitamin C, the vitamin skin needs to produce collagen. It brightens, supports elasticity and helps skin keep its bounce.
To Calm

The problem: skin that flushes, feels tight or reacts to the day.

  • Moroccan Tansy. The rare blue flower oil prized for comforting reactive skin. It gives the formula its soft natural blue-green cast and its calming character.
  • Lavender and Geranium. Skin-loving botanicals that help the complexion look settled and even.
And to Comfort

The bonus: a scent that makes the ritual worth keeping.

  • Frankincense, Myrrh, Vanilla and Amyris. Resins and botanicals prized for thousands of years in skin rituals. Frankincense and myrrh support a refined, firmer-looking finish; vanilla and amyris lend a soft, woody-sweet note that fades within minutes.

What it's like to use
Warm three or four drops between your fingertips and press into the face and neck. It feels silky going on, absorbs in about a minute and leaves a soft, dewy finish that makeup glides over. The scent is subtle and natural, resinous and faintly sweet, and it dissipates quickly. In the morning, make it your final step. At night, wear it alone, or press it in before the Serum Balm for the fullest Blue Algae ritual.

Questions, answered

Oil or balm: which one do I choose?
The balm is the richest overnight treatment; the oil is lighter and wears under makeup. Many customers use both, oil by day and balm at night. If you only want one and you prefer a lighter texture, choose the oil.
Is it the same algae as the Serum Balm?
Yes. Same algae, same five base oils, same Moroccan tansy. The oil adds lavender and amyris and leaves out the balm's sealing richness, which is what makes it day-friendly.
Will it feel greasy or disturb makeup?
No. It absorbs in about a minute and leaves a dewy rather than oily finish, so foundation applies smoothly over it. Combination skin can use two drops instead of four.
Does it have a scent?
A subtle, natural one from frankincense, myrrh, vanilla and amyris, and it fades within minutes. Never synthetic fragrance.
How long does a bottle last?
At three or four drops once a day, four to five months. Twice a day, two to three months.
