One of our original heritage products: a true castile soap in the centuries-old olive oil tradition, with magnesium-rich mineral clay folded in. It is gentle enough to be a facial soap, which is why customers wash their faces with it morning and night for years on end, and it is every bit as wonderful head to toe: face, body, even shampoo. Extra virgin olive oil and castor oil clean deeply without stripping, wherever you use it.

Is a bar of soap really gentle enough for my face?

This one was made for exactly that. Castile soap is the olive oil tradition: it cleanses without stripping, which is why it earns a place at the sink as a facial soap and in the shower for everything else, equally at home in both. Thirty-eight reviews at five stars, most of them about faces.

Why doesn't it foam up like my old face wash?

By design. Big foam usually comes from the same detergents that strip skin. This bar is low-sudsing on purpose: castile cleans thoroughly with less suds, and your skin keeps its own moisture. Cleaner skin, quieter bubbles.

How do I pick a scent?

Original is the pure, unscented choice for the most sensitive skin. Citrus and Turmeric is the brightening bar, Lavender, Tea Tree and Neem is the clarifying bar for blemish-prone skin, and Rosemary, Mint and Kudzu is the wake-up bar. When in doubt, start here with Original.
