Orange Flower Peptide
Citrus aurantium

Orange flower peptide is a botanical peptide that helps firm, smooth, and refine the look of skin. Gentle and renewing, it suits mature and uneven skin.
A natural history
Orange flower is the fragrant white blossom of the bitter orange tree, and the precious oil distilled from it, neroli, is one of the most beloved notes in all of perfumery. It takes its name from a real woman, Anne Marie Orsini, the seventeenth century Italian Princess of Nerola, who adored the scent of orange blossom so dearly that she perfumed her gloves and her bath with it and set a fashion that swept the courts of Europe.
The flower has long been woven into beauty and celebration. Orange blossom has crowned brides and filled wedding bouquets for centuries as a symbol of purity and grace, from medieval Europe to Queen Victoria herself. Behind the romance sits a genuinely useful botanical, rich in the soothing, antioxidant compounds that make orange flower as kind to skin as it is to the senses.
What it does for your skin
Orange flower brings both fragrance and substance to skin care. In laboratory testing, the essential oil of the blossom showed real antioxidant, free radical scavenging activity, the kind of defense that helps skin look fresh against everyday stress.[1] In further study, neroli calmed markers of inflammation, supporting orange blossom's long reputation as a soothing, comforting botanical.[2] In a formula it lends a gentle, radiant, calming character to stressed or sensitive looking skin. Direct skin trials are limited.
